2025 Spring Baseball Registration FAQs

How do I register my child to play?

Register on the PlayNYA.com website.

Can siblings play on the same team?
Yes, they will be placed on the same team.

What is the time commitment for practices and games?
Typically, there are a total of two games or practices per week for levels above T-ball. T-ball will have one game or practice per week.

How can a parent volunteer to coach a team?
Register on the PlayNYA.com website.

Will background checks be run on coaches?
Yes, the league will run background checks on all coaches in alignment with Little League protocols.

What equipment will my child need?
Each player Majors and below will need a glove and a USA-certified bat. Most players will have their own helmets, but the league provides some to each team. Each team is provided with catcher's equipment and gloves for applicable levels.

Players 13 and older will use BBCOR bats.

Can my Majors or below child use a non-USA metal bat?
No, only USA bats are allowed. Certified T-ball bats can be used in T-ball as well.

What uniform items will be provided to players?
Each player will get a hat, jersey, pants, socks and a belt.

Will custom uniforms be provided to players?
Players will get the sized uniform that they input at registration, with custom sizes for jerseys and pants.

How will rosters be determined?

·         T-Ball & 5U: Coach/teammate requests along with neighborhood/school proximity. Requests will be solicited near the end of registration.

·         6U - Majors: Determined via draft following evaluations. Coach/teammate requests will not be accepted. Evaluation dates will take place during February.

·         14U & 16U: Will be determined based on enrollment.

Can I request my child’s friend to be on their team in a division that has a draft?
No, the teams will be determined by a draft.

How is my child’s Little League age determined?

My child is league age 11 but does not want to play in Majors. Can they register for Minors?
Yes, they are able to play in Minors at league age 11 or 12 rather than playing in Majors.  You can email [email protected] to request the transfer.  Any transfers will take place after we determine capacity levels for each division likely in December or January.

My child is league age 2 and I would like them to play T-ball. Can they register?
No, unfortunately, they must be league age 4 to register for T-ball.

Where can a player live and be eligible for Nolensville Little League?
Players aged 8-12 must either live in or go to school within our league boundary, unless they have an approved waiver from the Charter Committee in Williamsport. You may verify your home/school address at this link: https://www.littleleague.org/play-little-league/league-finder. Home residency must be established by February 1, 2025 while school residency must have been established by October 1, 2024.

Players aged 4-7 may register in any Little League regardless of their home/school address. They (along with any siblings) will maintain full eligibility to participate in the league so long as they continue to participate in the same league each Spring season.

What is the Little League Challenger program?
The Little League Challenger Program is Little League’s adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges.

Who can participate in the Little League Challenger program?
Any individual with a physical or intellectual challenge may participate. If an individual can participate in the traditional Little League Baseball or Softball program with reasonable accommodations they should do so. The Little League Challenger Division accommodates players ages 4-18, or up to age 22 if still enrolled in school. The Senior League Challenger Division accommodates players ages 15 and above (no maximum age).

Will a scholarship be awarded if a parent is unable to pay?
